Business Contact: Robin Whitten
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care (PPHPC) provides compassionate, comprehensive and specialized end-of-life care. PPHPC is a non-profit, community-supported organization committed to providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support for those facing a life-limiting illness and their loved ones. Care is provided in the patient's home, in area long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, and in the Pikes Peak Hospice Inpatient Unit. A dedicated team consisting of the referring physician, our medical director, a registered nurse, a certified nurse aide, a counselor, chaplain, and volunteer is assigned to each patient to provide medical care, expert pain and symptom control, spiritual care, and emotional and grief support.
Hospice care (palliative or comfort care) is provided for those living the last phase of life. Services are available for patients and their families which may be provided in their homes, long-term care or assisted-living facilities, or in the Pikes Peak Hospice Inpatient Unit, located in the St. Francis Health Center.
